Claire Lee

Sent from Journey Church of Atlanta

To Coban, Guatemala

Claire Lee was born in Augusta, Georgia and grew up in Dallas, Texas. When she moved to Georgia as a fourteen-year old, Claire experienced God’s all-encompassing heart for the nations through her local church and felt a deep desire to be a part of what God is doing all over the world. This led her to study International Studies and Music Performance in cello at Emory where she would steward her time and gifts for God’s kingdom purposes—and ultimately, to serve in AMI 1-Year missions. Claire enjoys reading autobiographies, journaling, drawing, and running on unexplored trails, and she is so excited to experience the depth of God’s love in and through her in the next season of her life.

Prayer Request

  • Refinement and Revelation-That the Lord would use this time to forge within her an undivided heart so she could fear His name and rely on His faithfulness (Psalm 86:11)
  • Prayer and Praise- That her life would be an overflow of His praise and a living testament of His unchanging promises.
  • Fellowship and Focus- That the Lord would allow her to enter into closer communion with Him and to cultivate my heart for the kingdom-purposed assignments He has in store for her life

To Tokyo, Japan

Elisa Noh is from Orange County, CA., and graduated from UCR in the summer of 2021 with a degree in Education, Society, and Human Development. In addition, Elisa loves spending quality time with her family & friends, and enjoys doing arts & crafts like calligraphy and embroidery. With an early college graduation, Elisa pressed and prayed into how she could offer her first fruits to the Lord. God began to speak into and confirm Elisa’s conviction to serve and fulfill the Great Commission through AMI 1-year!

Prayer Request

  • Full satisfaction and trust in the Lord and His promises
  • Sober-mind and spirit to be aware of how God is moving and speaking
  • Yielding of fleshly desires, expectations and plans to the Lord

Jessica Tabe

Sent from Tapestry LA Church

To Coban, Guatemala

Jessica Tabe grew up in Hawaii and moved to Los Angeles for college, where she studied mechanical engineering at the University of Southern California. She has worked as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry since graduating. Jessica enjoys being in nature, eating dessert, and spending quality time with others. Her life radically changed in the summer of 2017 when she was first invited to Tapestry LA and decided to give her life to Jesus. Her personal experience as a new believer sparked a passion for missions and thoughts of maybe even going long-term one day. Jessica is participating in the 1-year internship to get a realistic perspective on the life of a missionary while committing herself to serving God in a new community.

Prayer Request

  • Favor in language acquisition to build relationships with the local people
  • Constant awareness of how God is working around me and inviting me to be involved throughout this whole process
  • That I would not be fearful of “pausing” my life while away on my internship – no fear of man, only fear of God!

Kaylin Kim

Sent from Church of Southland

To Coban, Guatemala

Kaylin Kim is from Irvine, California, and studied Music Education and Teaching at Chapman University. In her free time, she likes spending time with her friends, finding good places to eat, journaling, and playing trumpet. When God met Kaylin and renewed her spirit after years of apathy and anxiety, He revealed His faithfulness even when she thought she was walking alone. Through that, God also placed a desire in Kaylin to witness and minister to those who don’t know the Lord, to proclaim the truth of God’s love and the hope He provides.

Prayer Request

  • That I would see every circumstance through His perspective, for greater knowledge of His intimate love, and total reliance on God’s strength in everything that I do
  • Trust that the Lord will comfort, strengthen, and bring joy to my family while I am gone
  • For boldness to proclaim the truth and glory of God as an overflow of His Holy Spirit

Lizzy Cho

Sent from Church of Southland

To Coban, Guatemala

Lizzy Cho was born and raised in Maryland then left her hometown to study optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After finishing her degree in 2020, she moved to Orange County for residency training and started to attend the Church of Southland. In her leisure time, Lizzy likes to explore coastal hikes, visit national parks, and read books with a cup of Americano on hand. She is excited for AMI 1 year missions due to the opportunity to love others through acts of service and to intentionally dedicate her life to God after pursuing her own academic goals for many years.

Prayer Request

  • God to reveal more of who He is to me personally and that our Father/ Daughter relationship would grow even deeper
  • A wholehearted and tender love for God’s people before, during, and after missions; especially in times where I may feel overwhelmed
  • Courage and boldness in sharing the gospel

Prayer Request

  • That I would be completely obedient and trusting in God throughout this process, knowing that He has plans in store for me no matter what happens.
  • That I would take on a posture of true humility as I go out to the mission field, serving out of God’s true heart instead of seeking anything for myself
